Son of James Richard Wilson Sr. &
Frances Bell Head Wilson Morris.

Native of Robertson County, he was a farmer and a pilot. He ran the Springfield Municipal Airport for several years with his brother Robert. He provided crop dusting services for local farmers.

He died at home with his second wife, LaVergne Rutherford Wingo Wilson, his son Ronnie and daughter-in-law Sharon at his side after a battle with cancer.
