Kerma was born November 18, 1934 in Concordia to Harry S. and Lena I. (Hubbard) Peters. She was a 1952 graduate of Minneapolis High School. She later graduated from Brown Mackie College and Kerma attended the University of Kansas for one year.
Kerma and Jack Bremerman were united in marriage on January 3, 1954. She worked various jobs including the Ottawa County Bank, the Todd Agency, Scheibeler's LLC, and she was the Ottawa County Register of Deeds from 1988 – 2000. Kerma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis.
Kerma is survived by her husband Jack of the home; her daughters Lee Ann DuVall and her husband Michael of Franklin, TN and Susan Adkins and her husband Max of Minneapolis; her sister Lavon Martin of Chappell Hill, TX; four grandchildren Carter and Matthew Kline, Aubrey Nicholson, and Chris DuVall; and three great-grandchildren Iris Ihloff Kline, Orris Ihloff Kline, and Bremer Kline.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Ottawa County Health Center Transitional Crossroads Unit.
