Dearest son of Rita M. and the late Gerald A. Crump; beloved brother of Bryan (Debbie Morgan) and Maura Crump, and Megan Peters; dear uncle to Lillian Peters; step-father of Amy Johnson, Michelle Newlin and Aaron Overfield.

Beloved grandfather to Andrea, Emily and Dominic Johnson, and Austin Miller; brother-in-law, nephew, cousin and friend.

Jay worked as a Machinist for American Pulverizer for 25 years. He was a world champion Bridge Player. Jay possessed a wealth of knowledge and enjoyed playing chess, collecting rare coins and was always interested in expanding his knowledge of history.

Jay's loyalty to the St. Louis Cardinals was surpassed only by the loyalty shown to others. Jay will be greatly missed.
