Frank was the son of Michael and Julia Anna Shircliff Cunningham. He lived in the old homestead, near Loogootee in Daviess County, where he was born and died.
He was married twice, first to Frances Hopkins who passed over 20 years before, and second to Catherine Effa "Effie" Smith, who survived him.
Children with Frances are Joseph Bernard, Carl, Marie Rose Spayd Albright, and Eugenia M. Hoffer who was still at home.
Children with Effie were Glen, Ralph, George and Catherine later married to Ernest Telfer. All were still living at home at the time of Frank's death.
Also surviving him were brother's Andrew of Aberdeen, SD; Patrick of St. Martin's, IN; John of St. Mary's and Mrs. Lydia Seals of NW Loogootee. His sister Mary E. Cavanaugh, and brother Louis F. predeceased him.
