Bill was born in Battle Creek, MI, to William M. and Gladys M. (Conner) Thomas. He retired from Clark Equipment Credit Corp., Buchanan, MI, after 25 years of service. Attended Tri State College in Angola, IN, was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and a former member of Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club. He was of the Methodist faith.
Bill is survived by Pat, his wife of 58 years; son Chris and daughter-in-law Pam Thomas of Niles, MI; daughter Nancy Thomas of Niles, MI; sons, Stephen Thomas of Bradenton, FL, and Michael Thomas of Fayetteville, GA; brother Robin and sister-in-law Barbara Thomas of Crystal River, FL; sister Winnie and brother-in-law John Keedy of Danville, KY; 3 grandchildren, Erica Thomas of Niles, MI, Aaron Glossinger of PA, and Jody Glossinger of MD. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Martha, Pat and Margaret.
Military graveside services will be held in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Citrus County.
