Ivan, son of Frank and Pearl Kechely With grew up in Chester, Nebraska with three sisters. He graduated from Chester High School in 1937. Ivan served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He married Dorothy Ellen Edmunds on October 30, 1943 and to this union two sons were born. After military service Ivan moved to Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas where he worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement.
