Bertha M. Janz, 87, 500 Chapley Ave., Junction City, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at the House of the Dove Hospice Home in Marshfield. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Junction City, with the Rev. Timothy Roser officiating. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau. Visitation will be from noon Friday at the church until the services. Beste Funeral Home in Mosinee is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Janz was born Nov. 21, 1915, in the town of Kronenwetter in Marathon County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Enig) Pelot. She was married to Hersel Janz on Sept. 7, 1937, in Waukegan, Ill. He died May 4, 1993. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Wesley (Marcia), Indianapolis, Ind., and Hershel (Bonita), Anacortes, Wash.; one daughter, Peggy Lynn Becker, Junction City; two brother, Felix Pelot and Leo Pelot, both of Mosinee; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-stepgrandchildren.
