DIED at Colchester, Col. Henry Champion; a gentleman eminent for his distinguished services in the American Revolution, as a supplier of cattle to the army.

Col. Henry Champion, Jr., third child and 2nd s. of Henry Champion and Mehitable Rowley, b. of record Jan. 19, 1723/4 at East Haddam, Conn. He d. July 21, 1797 at Colchester, Conn. (g.s., Æ 73)

On Dec. 25, 1746 at East Haddam, Conn., Henry m. 1) Deborah Brainerd, dau. and 8th child of Capt. Joshua Brainerd and Mehitable Dudley, b. June 20, 1724 at East Haddam. She d. Mar. 17, 1789 at Colchester, Conn. (g.s., Æ 65) They had 9 children, paternal descendants of 1620 Mayflower passenger Edward Fuller.

On Nov. 24, 1791 at Colchester, Conn., Henry m. 2) Sarah Brainerd, dau. of Stephen Brainerd and Susanna Gates, and widow of Judah Lewis, b. Apr. 30, 1744 at Colchester. She d. Jan. 17, 1818 at Colchester. (g.s., Æ 74) There were no children of this second marriage.
