CARREIRA, Nina Pauline, R.N., 55, of Plantation, FL. Wife of the late Dr. Eleuterio Carreira and mother of a son and daughter of Plantation, FL, died Tuesday, November 27, 2001 following a three year battle with acute leukemia.
She is survived by her parents, Dorothy & Martin Dienst of Vermont; three sisters; Martha of Germany; Sarah of Vermont & Dorothy of Florida; two brothers; Timothy and Daniel of Vermont.
Nina worked most recently as an R.N. at Northwest Regional Medical Center from 1986 until her illness in October 1998. She was an active member at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Plantation, FL.
The family will receive friends from Friday, 2-4, 6-8 PM, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 1, 2001 at 11 AM at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Of America Inc. - Southern Florida Chapter 3325 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, FL or Our Savior Lutheran Church, 8001 NW 5 Street Plantation, FL 33324. Funeral arrangements by T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home.
