Uncle Reed loved animals. Cats especially. I remember Bobby-he was an American Lynx. Adopted as a kitten (or kit--unsure of the correct term) by Uncle Reed and
Aunt Myrtle who shared the love in their home for many years. They are great examples how the proper treatment and love of animals elevates all. He also had a fish terrarium, which he treasured--and yes, they were safe from Bobby!

Reed Lamont Fonnesbeck, 75, passed away after a short illness on Thursday, March 19, 1998.

Born April 2, 1922 in Logan, Utah, to Carl Max and Zella Fonnesbeck. Married Myrtle Mae Olsen, March 3, 1941 in Brigham City, Utah.

Reed graduated from Logan High School and attended Utah State University. He served in the Utah National Guard from 1940-1942. After living in California, Washington, and Idaho, he moved to Utah where he worked for the Utah State Tax Commission and he Chaired the Democratic National Committee for Cache County. After retirement he stayed in Utah to be near his family.

Survived by wife, Myrtle; sons, Douglas (Trissa) of Farmington, and Jerry (Vicky) of Logan; daughters, Joan (Charles) of Idaho Falls, and Tamara (Robert) of Orem; brother, Max (Edna) of River Heights; and 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many friends. Preceded in death by parents, Carl Max and Zella; and brothers, Tillman, Delbert and Evan.

A viewing for friends and family will be held on Sunday, March 22, 1998 from 7-9 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan, Utah. Funeral services will be held at the Allen-Hall Mortuary on Monday, March 23, 1998 at 12p.m. Committal, Logan City Cemetery. Following the servies, a luncheon for the family will be held at the LDS Church located at 2394 West 2200 South, College Ward, Utah.
