He was born in Indianapolis, Ind. and was the son of Cliff Griffith and Ada Lockwood Duke, both of Indianapolis. Ind. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
At the time of his death, he was employed by Round Hill Foods, New Oxford.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene Elkins Griffith; two daughters, Teresa Harman, Holder, Fla., and Vicki Gooding, Fort Dix, N.J.; a son, Jason Silver, Orrtanna; four grandchildren; a sister, Sondra Christy, Indianapolis; and one niece.
Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Peter M. Beddia officiating. Interment will be in the Fairfield Union Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
