Dr. George W. Truett, pastor of First Baptist Church of which Mr. Cox had been an active member until poor health confined him to his home, will officiate, and burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be C. J. O'Connor, C. V. Compton, Dr. R. J. Glass, Dr. O. M. Marchman, J. R. Bookhout(?), E. Y. Holt, N. M. Harper, and W. J. Rutledge, Jr.
Surviving are Mrs. Cox, the former Miss Effie White of Temple; a daughter, Miss Mary Davidson Cox; a son, Morgan H. Cox, Jr.; three brothers, George A., W. O., and Charles E. Cox, all of Temple; and a sister, Mrs. Jack Carver of Farmersville.
Mr. Cox had been in failing health for several years and retired last May from operation of Cox, Inc., automobile establishment on North St. Paul. Except for a trip to the warmer climate of Cuba and Panama during December, he has been confined to his home most of the time since. He formerly was known as a lover of fine horses, the Cox horses having won numerous prizes at Southwestern shows.
Mr. Cox was a member of the Terpsichorean Club and the Dallas Athletic Club.
