Thelma Wenona (Craig) Beeson joined her husband, Gerald Newton Beeson in death on February 23. Gerald preceded her in death on October 28, 2010. Born in Monarda, Maine, Thelma moved to San Diego with her family where she graduated from Point Loma High School in 1940. She and Gerald were married in 1942. Gerald served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific and the occupational forces of Japan.
Immediately following the war, Thelma was employed by Convair Aircraft and Tyce Engineering for a short time. As longtime residents of Chula Vista, Gerald worked for Rohr Corporation while Thelma was at home with the family.
Active in the Chula Vista Church of the Nazarene, Gideons International and, later, Hilltop Baptist Church, Thelma and Gerald contributed to their community.
Thelma is survived by 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 2 g-grandchildren.
