She was a member of the New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, where she was secretary many years. She also was a member of the University Extension Club and a 4-H leader during her early adult life.
She is survived by six sons; five daughters; three sisters, Roberta Penermon, Lillie Young and Velma Cotton; 55 grandchildren, including a grandson and granddaughter of Sikeston whom she raised; 80 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Services at the Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston.
Burial at the Haywood City Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of Williams-Farr & Purnell Funeral Home in Sikeston.
