MURDOCK - Leon L . Cargill , 88, died April 23, 2005, at Kingman Community Hospital, Kingman.

He was born Sept. 24, 1916, at Drumright, Okla., the son of Ervin and Anna May Ellis Ross. A longtime resident of the Murdock community, moving from Greensburg, he was the retired Co-op grain elevator manager.

He belonged to the Kingman Christian Church.

On Feb. 10, 1937, he married Bernie Lee Ross at Cushing, Okla. She survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, James, Hutchinson, Don, Trimble, Mo., and Mike, Great Bend; a daughter, Kaye Blank, Murdock; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Conward; and two sisters, Nevada Ellis and Clowell O'Kelly.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kingman Christian Church, with the Rev. Karen Ault presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will be in Murdock Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the Kingman Christian Church Building Fund, in care of the funeral home.
