Son of Elbert & Bessie (Carpenter) Haley
Donald Ray Haley, 75, of Aurora, died at 1:45 p.m. June 29 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
Mr. Haley was born February 19, 1927, in Monett, the son of Elbert and Bessie Carpenter Haley. He worked 20 years for Juvenile Shoe Corporation in Aurora and worked for EFCO in Monett, retired in 1990. He was a member of Rockin A Saddle Club and the Assembly of God in Marionville.
He married Dorothy Garoutte on January 16, 1954, in Boone County, Arkansas, and she survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Mike Haley and Randy Haley, both of Aurora; one daughter, Netia Baxter of Stotts City; two brothers, Elbert Haley of Clio, Michigan, and James Haley of Vac Vista, California; one sister, Edna Eutsler of Aurora; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 5, at the Baptist Temple in Aurora with Rev. Ed Walls officiating. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home of Aurora.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
