David Jackson Dead
David Jackson, 82 years old, and a Civil War veteran died Monday at his home northeast of Edina. He had been in feeble health for some time but was seriously sick of pneumonia about two weeks. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. S. E. Botsford of Edina at the Mt Carmel Church southwest of town. Burial was in the Mt Carmel cemetery by the side of the grave of his wife who has been dead about twelve years, and who before her marriage was Miss Mary Beck. Three children survive, Carter Jackson of Knox City and Sam Jackson and Mrs. Mary Braley at home. Mr. Jackson was a son of Joseph Jackson, and he was born in Huntington County, Pennsylvania, Oct. 24, 1843, but had lived in Knox County for many years.
