Lester C. Peters died Jan.8, 2011, in Oklahoma City,Okla. He was 92.He was born July 7, 1918,at Union Star, Mo., the son of William and Gertrude Peters. He moved to Delia at
a young age.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1946. He was employed as a civilian at the Air Force Supply Depot, Forbes Field, Topeka, Warner Robins AFB, Ga., Brookley AFB, Mobile, Ala., and Tinker AFB, Okla., where he retired in 1977 after 35 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Cecil, Fred and Claude Peters, and his sister, Ruby
Peters.

He is survived by his wife, Eula Rae, of the home; three daughters, Susan Newton and husband, Doug, Spring Lake, N.C., Eulela Kazemi and husband, Moe, and Vicki Peters, all of Oklahoma City, Okla.; his son, William Peters, Oklahoma City, Okla.; his grandson, Yousef Kazemi, Oklahoma
City, Okla.; and his sister, Bea Abram, Eudora.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. May 28 at Feltner Funeral Home, Lyndon. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, north of Lyndon.

Lester C. "Pete", 92, of Oklahoma City, died January 8, 2011, in hospice care. Mr. Peters was born July 7, 1918, in Union Star, MO. His family moved to Delia, KS, when he was a young boy. Pete joined the U.S. Navy in Jan. 1942, and was honorably discharged in Feb. 1946. He was then employed as a civilian at the AF Supply Depot in Topeka, KS. Pete and his wife, Eula Rae were transferred to Warner Robins AFB, GA, in 1958, to Brookley AFB, Mobile, AL in 1959 and to Tinker AFB, OK in 1961, where Mr. Peters retired in 1977, after 35 years of government service. Survivors include his wife, Eula Rae of the home; daughters, Susan Newton and husband Doug of Spring Lake, NC, Vicki Peters, Eulela Kazemi and husband Moe; a son, William Peters and a grandson, Yousef Kazemi all of OKC; a sister, Bea Abram of Eudora, KS; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Peters was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gertrude Peters; brothers, Cecil, Fred and Claude; a sister, Ruby Peters. Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Eastern Avenue Church located at 836 N. Eastern, Moore, OK. Burial will be held in KS.
