Betty F. Strandberg, June 8, 1923 - June 29, 2010, former Resident of Fremont, age 87, of Englewood, Fl., left this earthly plane peacefully while sleeping on June 29, 2010. She was born Frances Evelyn Moore in Crisfield, Md., to Frank and Bessie Moore. After being orphaned, she was raised by the Isaac James Riggin family. Betty attended Blue Ridge College and later worked at the Pentagon during which time she met her loving husband of 62 years - Carl Hildreth Strandberg. After a long career in banking, Betty retired in 1990 from First Interstate Bank as an Operations Manager. Betty will be dearly missed and long remembered as a uniquely wonderful person by her devoted husband, Carl H.; her two sons, Carl E. and Charles; her two daughters in law, Judith and Donna; her six grandchildren, Veronica, Jocelyn, Nicole, Erik, Deanna, and Nathaniel; her three great grandchildren, Ethan, Christian and Lukas; and her many friends. Betty was predeceased by her loving daughter Susan. A private memorial service for close friends and family will be held on Friday, July 16th at 3:00 PM. Arrangements are being handled by Lemon Bay Funeral Home, 2 Buchans Landing, Englewood, Fl. 34223.
