The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Wright was held from the residence, 1315 North Second Street, this afternoon. Rev Mr. Shaw of the Christian Church Officiated, and burial was at Lakeside Cemetery. Mrs. Wright was 70 years of age and was a native of Pennsylvania. Her maiden name was Mecham, and she was twice married, her second husband being Fred Wright, to who she was married in Peoria, Sept 21, 1905. She is survived by three sisters, three brothers and the following children: Estella Moreland, Peoria, Susie Bowman, Pekin; Christian Long, Lacon; Maud Lamb, Peoria; Emma Carlson, Columbus OH; Sadie Sipes, Pekin.”
Sarah’s first husband was Joseph M Long. Census records indicate that she married Samuel Sperry in 1895.
