Stayton – Evelyn Pauline, 85, died October 31 in Stayton. She was born in Van Buren, Arizona. Evelyn moved to California in the 1930's, and her family bought a farm in Junction City in 1939 where she grew up. She moved to Newport in the late 1950's, living in Sisters and Harrisburg, before moving to Stayton 7 years ago.

Evelyn owned and operated a beauty shop for over 20 years. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Church in Stayton. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb growing her flowers, she enjoyed watching and feeding birds, and clam digging. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Miller.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters: Donna Barber of Stayton and Teresa Grahn of Clackamas. Sisters: Lela Munby of Madras and Mildred Larson of Albany. Grandchildren – 5 and 2 – Great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Stayton. Private Interment in Alfred Cemetery in Halsey. Serving the family North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
