Mamie was the daughter of Frank Jefferson Stephens and Kate Hilton. She was born on June 18, 1912. She married Glen Cox in October 1930. She died on January 15, 1931 at the age of 19 of Pneumonia. Mamie was pregnant with her first child and both died , and Mamie subsequently died of blood poisoning. The Obit Read as follows:
