Obituary: Carolyn W. Percy
The funeral for Carolyn Wood Percy, 91, of Baldwinsville, formerly of Watertown, will be at the family's convenience. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
Mrs. Percy died Monday at Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville.
She was a former teaching assistant in the Watertown City School District and a volunteer with Hospice of Jefferson County.
Mrs. Percy was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and was an active member of Watertown Morning Musicales and the North Country Bird Club.
Born Sept. 14, 1914, in Caateaugay, daughter of Burt and Gertrude Empie Wood, she was raised in Dexter and lived most of her adult life in Watertown.
She married Kenneth E. Percy on Nov. 11, 1933, in West Carthage. Mr. Percy, principal of Knickerbocker and Academy Street schools, died July 9,, 1968.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth P. and Charles J. Elliott, Baldwinsville, and Barbara P. Wood, Liverpool; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dr. Alan K. Birmingham, Ala., and Martin C. and Debbie, Clayton; 10 grandchildren and two nieces.
