GRANT, Erskine, age 85 of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. He was a native of Kentucky, the son of the late William and Ammie Sue Holt Grant. In addition to his parents, Mr. Grant was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Elsie Mae Grant; a daughter, Deborah Kay Grant; four brothers, Lawrence, Rudolph, Aurthur and Comer Grant; and two sisters, Margie Sanders and Lucille Wynn. Mr. Grant was a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his sons, Joe (Jean) Grant of Belvidere, William Grant of Memphis, Phillip (Eva) Grant, Charles (Kathy) Grant and Jeffery Grant and Alan (Debbie) Grant, all of Shelbyville; two daughters, Alice (Ronnie) Couch of Belvidere and Frances (Duncan) Weddington of Winchester; a sister, Catherine Branch of Tullahoma; a brother, Billy Grant of Estill Springs; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family was held on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 6 and Jan. 7, 2010 from 5-9 p.m. at the Tullahoma Funeral Home in Tullahoma. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Herman officiating.
