Minnie Spence of Columbus age 83 died Sunday, May 29, 2011 at home following a long illness. Member of Cross Road United Baptist Church. Preceded in death by first husband Alfred Wheeler,second husband Alex Spence; sons, Alex Jr, and Gary Spence.
Survived by daughter, Virgie ( Moody ) Tackett; sons, Roger Wheeler and Charles Spence; daughters-in-law, Polly Spence and Kathy Spence; sisters, Bertha (Mayo) Spence, Goldie Stockton, Toni Moore; brothers, Russ Bailey and Phill (Faye) Bailey; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews. She was 'Maw' to all the kids in the neighborhood.
Friends may call at O.R. Woodyard Co. Chapel, 1346 S.High St. Wednesday 5-8 pm. Where funeral service will be held Thursday 11am. Brother Bill Bastain officiating.
Interment: Obetz Cemetery.
