Minnie married J.B. Maddox there, probably between 1900-1904, and they had two children, James Hugh (1906- ) and Roland J. (1904-1945), in Gibsland. J.B. Maddox died before 1910 and Minnie remarried before 1917 to Thomas W. Coogler (Abt. 1866-1924). She remained a widow the rest of her years after the loss of her second husband in 1924 until her death in Houston TX in 1960. She worked as a Matron at the Shreveport Training School in 1930.
