MRS. LUCINDA PAINTER DEAD
Funeral Services Were at Baring Friday With Burial at Hurdland.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucinda Painter of Baring, who died about 7:30 Wednesday morning of last week, were at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the Christian Church in Baring. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Hurdland beside the grave of her husband, Joseph S. Painter, who preceded her in death thirteen years ago.
Mrs. Painter was 77 years old, and death, which came at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. T. Tisdale, in Baring, was due to old age and heart disease, following a paralytic stroke some time ago.
Beside the daughter mentioned, Mrs. Painter leaves five other children: Mrs. Riley Veatch, Plainville, Kan.; Mrs. Roy Isaacs of Medill; Mrs. A. Swearingen of Greensburg; Mrs. Charles Platz of Brashear and Fred A. Painter of near Hurdland. A son, Noah Ollie Painter, died at the age of 4 years. A sister, Mrs. G. W. Silvers of Kirksville and twenty-three grandchildren also survive.
As Lucinda Catherine Sentel, Mrs. Painter was born Aug. 3 [sic], 1851, in Moultry [sic] County, Illinois. She and Mr. Painter were married March 13, 1873. They lived in Illinois a number of years and then came to Knox County about thirty-five years ago and lived in this county the remainder of their lives. Mrs. Painter spending the last few years at the home of her daughter.
