Born here Sept. 5, 1870, he was the son of Greenleaf and Abbie Wyman Averill. He was married to the late Myrtle Dunn. Mr. Averill was a member of the Cabot Lodge, K of P, Andover.
Surviving are a son, George L. of Rumford; two daughters, Alice Miller of this town, Mrs. Amy Jodrie of Lewiston; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
DIED In Lewiston, Jan. 21, Alvin L. Averill, aged 88, of Andover. Funeral services will be held from the Andover Congregational Church, Saturday, Jan. 24, at 2 P.M. Rev. William H. Rittenburg officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Andover in the spring. Friends may call at Meader & Son Funeral Home, Rumford, after 9 A.M. Friday.
