Services for Robert F. Dasenbrock, 59, of Newton, will be held at the St. Thomas Catholic
Church in Newton. Burial will follow. Visitation will be at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, with a parish wake service.

Mr. Dasenbrock died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1987, at the St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham.

He was born Sept. 23, 1927 in Effingham, the son of Ralph and Agnes Koester Dasenbrock. He married Mary Engbring; who survives.

He was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church and manager of Rich-Law Service in Newton. He also belonged to the Effingham Knights of Columbus, Veteran of Foreign Wars and American Legion of Newton, Olney Eagles, Jasper County Farm Bureau and was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Dasenbrock of Honolulu, Hawaii; Michael Dasenbrock of Newton; and Timothy Dasenbrock of Midland, Texas; one daughter Sue Diel of Newton; three brothers, Donald and Kenneth Dasenbrock of Effingham, James Dasenbrock, Decatur; two sisters Mary Jane Hardick, Moline, Julie Dasenbrock, St. Elmo; his mother, Agnes Dasenbrock, Effingham; and six grandchildren.
