JO MARIE HUTCHINSON MCDONALD, age 81, of Houston, TX passed away January 2, 2003. Jo Marie, the daughter of Cecil Oran and Annie Marie McCarthy Hutchinson, was born on March 7, 1921 in Fort Worth, Texas. A graduate of Texas Women's College with a Degree in Music, she was an accomplished concert pianist who at one time had her own radio program in Ft. Worth. She taught English and choir for ten years before she married her beloved husband of over 50 years, Hayden Louis McDonald, on June 4, 1949. Jo and Louis found great delight in sharing the lives of their four children and eleven grandchildren. Their unending generosity and tender love touched the lives of many. Jo Marie will be remembered for her elegant style, her creative talents, her bright spirit and quick wit, as well as her involvement in numerous charities. Mrs. McDonald is survived by daughters Bettye Ann McDonald Grice, Cathye Jo McDonald Towse, and Marye Margaret McDonald Ward; son, Hayden Lamar McDonald; grandchildren, Nichole, Justin, and Kyle Grice; Stephanie and Brandon Towse; Drew, Keelie, Christian and Meggie Mai Ward; and Reece and Makenzie McDonald. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway on Saturday, January 4, 2003 with Dr. Charles Wisdom officiating.
