"Mrs. Altman Dies at Home
Mrs. Ruth G. Altman, 76, Bryan Route 3, died early Sunday morning in her home. She was the sister of Mrs. Roy Youngs, and Mrs. John Beek both of Montpelier. Mrs. Altman was a lifelong resident of Williams County and taught school in Jefferson and Superior townships before her marriage. The Altmans celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this summer. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Church, the ladies society of the church, The Bryan American Legion Auxiliary and the Center Chicks Extension Club. Surviving are her husband, Philip; two sons, John of Edgerton and Arthur of Charleston, W. Va.; four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Seslar of Marysville; Mrs. Avon (Phyllis) Leeking of Woodland Hills, Calif.; Mrs. Harold (Helen) Horner of Rancho Cordova, Calif. and Mrs. William (Doris) Kovach, of Cleveland; 15 grandchildren and the two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Oberlin and Ford Funeral Home, Bryan, with the Rev. George Font officiating. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery, west of Bryan. Friends may call any time after noon Tuesday."
