Peder (Norwegian name: Per Person Løssetosdalen) and his brother, also buried in Moscow, bore the same name. He was married to Lene Martinusdatter Luvaas Ulvevadet, and together they had 4 daughters. Lene had been widowed and had 3 surviving children. In 1883, the family immigrated, first settling in the Dakota Territory; then moving to Moscow in 1903. Peder was greatly admired as a devout Christian and their home was filled with love and laughter. He was especially close to his daughter, Dorthea, who cared for him until his death.
