JOPLIN, MO — Allen Bernard Lacey, age 80, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011. Allen was born Dec. 9, 1930, in Corbin, Kan., son of the late Raymond Francis Lacey and Mattie Marie Popp Lacey. He graduated from Carl Junction High School, and was an Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. He retired from Atlas Powder Company in 1992 as a Millwright after 32 years of service. Prior to this he worked for DuPont. He was an active member of the Community of Christ Church of Neosho, where he was also a minister for the church. In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty C. Lacey in 1994; a daughter, Kay Delores Mathew; and a brother, Francis V. Lacey. Survivors include his wife, Deloris Mae Bull Lacey, whom married Dec. 30, 1995; daughter, Melody Ann Dibble, of Joplin; stepchildren, Steven Bull and wife Deann, Douglas A. Bull and wife Lisa, all of Joplin, Mark Bull and wife Sally, of St. Paul, Minn., Peggy Lynn Kephart, and Deborah Kay Wingo and husband Bill, all of Joplin; brother, Claud Dean Lacey of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister, Ramona Smith and husband Wayne, of Carl Junction, Mo.; two grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 1, at 4 p.m. in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Lester Lay and Rev. Bob Casino officiating.
