Odem Services Held Monday.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church for Columbus William Odem, 52, who died unexpectedly at 3 a.m. Sunday at his home.
Mr. Odem was a native of Russellville, Ala and had lived in Lumberton for 30 years. He operated Odem Trading Post. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Henderson Odem, a son, William Gary Odem, both of Lumberton; two brothers, Ralph of Lumberton, and Johnny of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Hudgins, of Biloxi; Mrs. Mertie Padgett, Purvis; and Mrs. Gladys Johnson, Hattiesburg; his father, Willie Odem, Wiggins; a half-brother, and 12 half-sisters.
