Thomas, 70, died at 4:40 p.m., at Triumph Hospital.
He was a son to Harry D. and Henrietta (Clement) Lee.
Surviving are a son, Darwin Thomas (Jane Ann); a daughter, Christina S. Rinderle, Cincinnati; three sisters, Cindy (Timothy) Parker, Lima, Barbara Temple, Indianapolis, and Anita (John) Burns; and five grandchildren, Kyle Lee, Katy Lee, Crystal Lee, Christina Lee and Nicole Rinderle.
He was an officer with the Lima Police Department and State Correctional Institute. He graduated from Lima Senior High School. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Chapter 1275, the National Rifle Association, the Patriot Guard, Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Chained Eagles Motorcycle Club.
