Brian Ralph Burkhart, 38, Loganville, Ga., was born March 10, 1973, in Independence, the son of Kenneth Rex and Connie Lynn (Campbell) Burkhart. He died May 26, 2011, from a heart attack.
He graduated from Wellington-Napolean High School in 1992.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Raymore and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sugar Creek.
He was an avid fan of football and NASCAR racing. He loved music and wrote many of his own songs. Above everything else, he loved his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth L. Burkhart; his father, Kenneth R. Burkhart; and his stepfather, Gerald Sanchez.
Survivors include his mother, Connie Sanchez, Loganville, Ga.; his stepmother, Joy Burkhart, Warsaw; his daughter, Mary Burkhart, Orlando, Fla.; his son, Kaleb Burkhart, Orlando, Fla.; three brothers: Sgt. 1st Class Bradley Ray and wife, Mary Beth Burkhart, Cameron, Kenneth Michael Burkhart, Sedalia, and Kyle Sanchez, Florida; two sisters: Angelina Sanchez, Kansas City, and Kristin Sanchez, Tennessee; a niece, Kennedy Marie Burkhart, Cameron; his grandmother, Betty Jo Burkhart, Blue Springs; three aunts: Lynn and husband, Vess Crewse, Mary Blackwood and Rachael Sanchez; uncle, Ken Sanchez; cousins: Paul Thorpe and Scott Crewse; many other relatives and friends; and two special ladies: Robin Housworth and her daughter, Dani.
