Lorene D. (Lytle) Windle was born April 5, 1918 in Wirt, Oklahoma, the first of four children born to Roy L. Lytle and Ethel Mae (Flint) Lytle. She went to be with her Lord on February 26, 2002. Lorene married John E. Windle on December 7, 1936. They celebrated their 60th anniversary before his death in 1997. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by five children, Doris Wertz and husband J.C. of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Evelyn Sons and husband Lonnie of OKC, Don Windle and wife Donna of Midwest City, John Windle, Jr. and wife Juanita of Slaughterville, Oklahoma, and Judy Clapp and husband Gene of Midwest City; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; and many other loved extended family members. Lorene was a long time member of Southside Assembly of God Church and a former member of Nicoma Park Assembly of God Church. She was residing at Sommerset Assisted Living Center this past year. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. We'll miss you Mom. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2002 at 10:00 AM in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.
