Marian (Schratz) Woodcock

Woodcock, Marian (Schratz) age 84 of Edina, passed away Sunday morning, March 15, 2009. In her 84 years, she accomplished much: 2 years of college, Navy service in WWII, graduate of Robert Morris School of Business in 1943 and McConnell Schools Airline Stewardess training in August, 1946, before moving on to marry Benjamin F. Woodcock in October of the same year. In the 56 years of marriage that followed, Marian and Ben raised 7 children, were active in the Catholic Church, and cherished many lifelong friendships made with neighbors from Stevens Ave. and Countryside Rd.

Preceded in death by husband Ben; daughter, Lynn Meier; grandson, JR Weiss.

Marian is survived by 6 children: Marian Weiss, Jane Mosher, John, Jeff, Nancy Votava, and Mark. Grandchildren are Jill Borela, Nicole Kollar, Tracey Mosher, Dan Hagen, Alyssa Meier, David Woodcock, Brian Votava, Michael Votava, and great grandchild, Sylvia Kollar. Siblings: 2 brothers, and Ollie, her treasured identical twin. Many friends will miss her conversation at the bridge table.

Memorial Mass 11 AM Friday, March 20, at St Patrick's Catholic Church in the small chapel, 6820 St. Patrick's Lane, Edina, MN 55439, with visitation one hour prior. Cremation Society of MN (952-924-4100). Memorials to the Woodcock family preferred.
