On September 18, 1898 Myrtle was united in marriage to George Bertrand Madison in a ceremony performed by James I. Priddy of Sand Creek and witnessed by Abbie Madison and Joseph Madison. George "Bert" Bertrand Madison, son of Jamima Ann Laforge and George W. Madison, was born December 28, 1867, at Necedah, Juneau County, Wisconsin. He died November 5, 1954, at Colfax, Dunn County, Wisconsin, aged 86 years, 10 months and 7 days, and was buried besides the remains of his wife in the Popple Creek Cemetery. Their one child was Margaret Elizabeth, b. 8 Apr 1900.

Myrtle L. Jones grew to womanhood here (town of Grant, Dunn County) and was united in marriage to Burt Madison Sept. 18, 1898. She leaves a husband and a little daughter two years old, a father, brother and three sisters, with a host of friends to mourn her early death.
