Myrtle was born in 1870 in Pleasant Valley, Wisconsin, daughter of George W. Jones and Elizabeth Lee, and died June 1, 1902, in Maple Grove Township, Barron County, Wisconsin, aged about 32 years, and was buried in the Popple Creek Cemetery. Her gravestone is inscribed "Myrtle Madison 1870 - 1902."

On September 18, 1898 Myrtle was united in marriage to George Bertrand Madison in a ceremony performed by James I. Priddy of Sand Creek and witnessed by Abbie Madison and Joseph Madison. George "Bert" Bertrand Madison, son of Jamima Ann Laforge and George W. Madison, was born December 28, 1867, at Necedah, Juneau County, Wisconsin. He died November 5, 1954, at Colfax, Dunn County, Wisconsin, aged 86 years, 10 months and 7 days, and was buried besides the remains of his wife in the Popple Creek Cemetery. Their one child was Margaret Elizabeth, b. 8 Apr 1900.

Mrs. Burt Madison died June 1, of consumption, after a long illness.

Myrtle L. Jones grew to womanhood here (town of Grant, Dunn County) and was united in marriage to Burt Madison Sept. 18, 1898. She leaves a husband and a little daughter two years old, a father, brother and three sisters, with a host of friends to mourn her early death.
