This community was saddened on Monday by the sad news that Mrs. Henry Golladay, long resident of this community had passed away at the hospital after a short illness caused by complications of the heart and kidneys.
Mary Falke was born at Fondulac, Wisconsin, October 10, 1858, and in 1872 she moved to Osceola, Iowa, where she met Henry Golladay and they were united in marriage on April 20, 1878. This happy couple moved to Nebraska in 1886 and in September 1892, they came to Kansas, where they have since lived. Four children were born to this union; Fred, Elmer and Lloyd, all of the Beloit community, and Ralph, who died in infancy.
Mrs. Golladay was a home loving person, a true help-mate companion and a loving mother.
She had lived a good life and to her bereaved ones goes the heart felt sympatny of the entire community in their great loss. She was a member of the United Brethren church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 at the McDonald Funeral Home and burial will be made in Elmwood cemetery.
Lifespan was 76 years, 7 months and 17 days."
