Soon after the death of her father in 1902, the family moved to a farm six miles west of Beloit. She was married on August 31, 1918, to Elmer T. Golladay, and after their marriage they made their home on a farm in Turkey Creek Township. They became the parents of two sons, Richard and George, and a daughter, Ella Marie, who died in infancy.
Retiring in 1955 from farming, Mr. and Mrs. Golladay moved to Glen Elder to live. Mr. Golladay's death occurred April 20, 1968, and Mrs. Golladay continued to reside in Glen Elder until 1971 when she moved to Sunnyside, Washington, to be near her son, George, and family. In August, 1980, she returned to Osborne to assist with the care of her sister, Mary Reist, until Mary's death in October, 1980, after which Mrs. Golladay continued to live in Osborne.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge of Glen Elder.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her infant daughter; all of her brothers, Cleon, Carl, Mike and Earl Reist; and her sisters, Edith Schellinger and Mary Reist.
She leaves to mourn her passing her sons, Richard and wife Alice of 231 N. 3rd, Osborne, and George and wife Thada of Sunnyside, Washington. There are twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson
