Olea was the daughter of Åsa Jakobsdatter and her first husband, Ole Andressen (Langåker) Mÿhro (1798-1843).

She and Iver Christensen had eleven children: Marit, Christen, Aasina, Ole, Tollef (died young), Tolleff (II), Albert, Martin, Anton, Julius, and Theodore.
