MABEL L. YAGER
DURHAMVILLE – Mrs. Mabel L. Yager, 78, of Yager Road, Durhamville, RD 1 a former Durhamville area schoolteacher, died last night in Oneida City Hospital.
She was born in Churchville, daughter of George and Rose Totten Gerwig. She was married to Luther E. Yager in Churchville in 1914. She was a graduate of Clinton Teachers Training School, and taught 15 years in area rural schools.
She was a member of New London Methodist Church, New London OES and Higginsville Dorcas Circle.
Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Harold North Bay; Earl and Warren, both of Durhamville, and a sister, Miss Helen Gerwig, New London.
The funeral will be at 2 Thursday from Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Oneida, the burial in Grove Cemetery, Durhamville.
