Four children were born to them in Superior Wisconsin. In 1923, they moved with their four Children to Los Angeles, California.
Roy worked at the Motion Picture Studios most of his life. Sometimes taking extra jobs, he managed to build several houses, and raised eight children (Lola, Jean, Betty, Tom, Ray, Mary, Lorraine and Dolores) during the Great Depression and World War II. They were a very happy family in spite of War and Depression. His wife died when she was 59 years old.
Roy passed away at age 73. He was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Los Angeles, California and was survived by eight living children.
