1761 Birth on October 7, 1761, Windham, Windham County, CT, British Colonial America, the son of Jeremiah & Hannah (Lillie) Kingsley.

1779 Military, US Revolutionary War
- Zephaniah enlisted on October 25, 1779 in Massachusetts as a private in the Third Regiment, Militia, Private, CPT Raymond's Company, COL Chapin's Regiment
Massachusetts Troops, Served six months.

1783 Marriage on March 18th @ Fort Ann, Washington County, New York
- First marriage to Hulda Coleman. Hulda, born at Colchester, CT, the daughter of Ozias Coleman and Hulda Brewster. Her parents were married at Lebanon, CT on June 24, 1760. Ozias, born at Colchester, Jan 2, 1739; he removed to the town of Fort Ann immediately after the Revolutionary War and died there Sept 17, 1819. Hulda Brewster, born at Lebanon on Apr 23, 1744, was the daughter of Ichabod Brewster and Lydia Barstow.
