Obituary
Mose Leary
Mose Leary, 84, Byron, passed away in Rockford Memorial hospital Saturday, May 11, at 2:45 p.m. following a lengthy illness. He was born April 6, 1884 in Leaf River township, the son of William and Elizabeth Leary. His entire life was spent in the Byron area.
He was married to Mildred Barry in Oregon June 10, 1914. Mr. Leary was a retired farmer and was custodian of Byron Community high school. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and the Byron Grange.
Survivors include: his widow, Mildred; two sons, Harold and Clyde, both of Byron; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Holquist, Bensenville; Mrs. Julia Meyers, Freeport; Mrs. Carrie Kennedy, Byron; and Mrs. Florence Day, Loves Park; and seven grandchildren.
Service were held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic church, Byron, with the Rev. Edward Wright, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was in Byron cemetery.
