Jeffie Marie Gibson was born August 26, 1926 in Corinne, Oklahoma to John & Ida (Wesley) Taylor. She passed from this life June 5, 2011 in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. Jeffie was a lifetime resident of Goodwater. She was God's servant who attended the Goodwater United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, home canning, picking wild onions and digging snakeroots. She especially loved caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jeffie is preceded in death by her husband: Angelo Gibson; three sons: Haskell Thomas, Ted Thomas and Robert Thomas; two grandsons: Michael Baker and Collin Baker; a granddaughter: Megan James; parents: John & Ida Taylor; one sister: Ruby Taylor Billy; and one brother: Alton Taylor. She is survived by children: Reverend Rosa Baker & husband Melton of Idabel, Oklahoma, Lora Tom & husband Albert of Sobol, Oklahoma, Susie Roberts & husband Sammy of Goodwater, Oklahoma, Elma Lamb of Little Okla, Oklahoma and Jerry Thomas & wife Kelly of Corinne, Oklahoma; 24 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; 24 great-great grandchildren; two brothers: Wilson Taylor of Sobol, Oklahoma and Edgar Taylor of Sobol, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral Service: 2:00 PM ~ Wednesday, June 8, 2011 ~ Goodwater United Methodist Church. Officiating: Tommy Wesley. Music: Special Music by Lyndon Crow and Choctaw Singers.
