Ernest is a brother to my Grand-Uncle, Herman Augustus Lay Sr.. Ernest wife Mary is with him & her inscription is on the backside of his marker. Ernest brother Louis is a twin to Herman Sr. Louis & Ernst are both buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Ernest & Louis both served in US Army during World War I. Their brother Fred also served in the US Army during WW I, but his burial is unknown. One male sibling was about 24 hrs. old when he died, name & burial are unknown.
