Martha A. Clark, who says she was born 1833 in Carroll county, but lived in Paulding, has a CSA widow's pension application on line, courtesy of Ga Virtual vault (Archives). She says her husband, Caleb C. Clark, served in Co. C of the 7th Ga. Regiment. Caleb was born 1837 in Paulding County and enlisted 1861 in Dallas, Ga. During the war, he was captured and sent to prison at Camp Chase. They married July 3, 1864 in Paulding County, GA. He left Paulding county for the Black Hills Gold mines in 1884.
