Chester W. Ralston of Helt Township, who resided on the Newport and Dana Gravel Road, just north of Henry Hopkins, died at 9:20 o'clock on Tuesday night of last week, July 9, 1901. He was born near old Toronto, 11 miles south of Dana, June 27, 1853, being 48 years, and 12 days old at the time of his death. His wife who survives him, is a sister of Henry Hopkins, to whom he was united in wedlock December 25, 1887. To them were born 2 sons who died in infancy. The funeral services were held at his late residence at 2 o'clock on last Thursday afternoon. Rev. A.M. Hook preached a short sermon, after which his remains were interred in the Vermillion Chapel.
